Imagine you're walking home from just like every other day. Thinking about anything other than the bag of groceries cutting into your fingers.
Thinking about your bills.
The rent.
The car repairs.
And then suddenly someone steps out of the alley beside you.
To Sudden.
To close.
He smiles and says, "You'll do."
He puts his hand on your arm and the world suddenly lurches around you, going black.
You wake up laying on a sparse cot in a stone room. A small window on the other side of the room is the only source of light. A sickly orange light that somehow feels greasy.
Struggling to your feet you walk across the room and look out at a world full of strange plants and impossible buildings that don't make any sense.
