Have you ever picked up a role-playing game at the store and thought, "This looks like a lot of fun."
And then you notice the next rule book. And the next. And the supplement for players. And now you're flashing back to trying to write a term paper and making sure you have information from 4 separate sources.
You put the book down and back slowly away to the safety of the board games.
Role-playing games are a lot of fun, but they can be intimidating if you've never played one before. The rules can take weeks or months to read and even more time to understand. It's what I think stops most people from joining the exciting world of role-playing.
That's why 9 years ago there was a small spark of an idea, which soon exploded into the MacroVerse. My goal was to create a game that was simple to learn for both the Game Master, the person running the game, and the players. And after 9 years, it's time to show it to the world!
MacroVerse games are all self-contained in one box. Rules, 3 fully playable stories, characters, NPCs, and all the assorted items to play a good RPG.
As much as I love to say open the box and play, there does need to be a Game Master (GM). Someone responsible for running the other players through the game scenarios. That person will need to read the rules and look over the game narrative. But that is all they need to do and it won't take long. The rules are only about 20 pages long. Each of the 3 games is self-contained and the characters and NPCs are all ready to go.
So, buy the game genre you want, read the rules and the first story narrative and then drag your friends into the MacroVerse!
